Our History
Valley Group was founded in 2014 as Valley Electrical Services by our Managing Director, Sean Harkin. With his significant industry experience and a strong track record of delivery, the business began to grow, establishing other divisions within the Group. Today, we are a leading provider of building services, compliance, refurbishment, energy efficiency, and other associated services.
Over the years, we have developed significant industry-specific expertise and established networks and a loyal customer base in both the private and public sectors. Our experienced senior team, along with the best front-line trades, has helped us build a solid track record through repeat business.
Our strong approach to work winning has proudly placed us well on Scotland's procurement frameworks. We have always kept strong values and customer service at the heart of our delivery. All works contribute social value through community benefit pledges and project delivery, ensuring that we not only meet the needs of our clients but also make a positive impact on the communities we serve.

Sean Harkin
Starting Valley in 2014 as an electrical contractor, Sean established the core values that has underpinned our success and growth.
He has steadily developed the business, grown the team as well as expanding the range of clients, services delivered and sectors that Valley Group work within.
George Hamilton
George leads the direction and management of Valley Group’s plumbing and heating division.
Using his technical expertise, client relationships and sector experience has helped this division secure numerous projects and deliver longer-term contracts.
Michael McMahon
A highly astute business professional, Michael has a demonstrable track record of driving business innovation, motivating teams and successfully developing multi-trade service organisations.
Kerry Mackie
Kerry uses her expertise, industry knowledge and existing relationships to drive business growth throughout Valley Group’s chosen market sectors.
She works closely with colleagues to deliver service excellence and best value for all clients.
Iain Steele
An accomplished, qualified finance professional with a variety of commercial, operational, leadership, business management and technical experience.
